What is a Super-food?

What the heck is a “super-food” anyway? Can it fly? Does it give you invincible power? Or is it a food that only superman eats? No, it is not any of these frivolous things. It is actually just an incredible food found here on earth meant for all of us “normal earthlings.” The reason why it has been given the name “super-food” is because it has a superior amount of nutrients, antioxidants, minerals and phytonutrients compared to our other regular foods.

You already know to keep your body healthy you need to consume lots of nutrients, the more the better. This gives your body energy to remove toxins, build and repair body cells. All natural whole foods contain valuable phytonutrients. These nutrients are believed to convey significant health benefits.

All eatable whole foods do have a nutrient-density value. The more nutrients a food has, the higher its value is to you. Some of these whole foods we recommend are necessary as detox foods. But another group of whole foods have so much more nutrients, ten to fifty times more nutrients in them. These foods can only be called Super-foods.

Some of these foods are found at a local grocery store, or even grown in a normal home garden. But the other super-foods must have to be shipped to you because they are native to other parts of the world. We have comprised a list of some of these super-foods. A Super-food is usually organic, which means no pesticides are used to grow these foods. Eating organic is always the wisest choice.
