Part One -slowing down the aging process

Unleash the Power of Your Mind and Slow Down the Aging Process

Have you ever dreamed of losing weight…being healthier or sexier…even slow down the aging process…But regardless of what you did, you were never able to achieve this goal?

When you can harness the power of your mind, all things are possible. That includes all life essentials, from finances to your health. You will have the power to overcome the obstacles that prevent you from acquiring your desires.

We as humans are creatures of habit. We reap what we sow, when we build upon good habits. We harvest good results when our minds and hearts are acting as one. Every successful person in the world has used this technique in one way or another to achieve a goal that they burned into their thoughts. It becomes the driving force that makes things happen.

It is 80% behavior and 20% math. Just ask any financial adviser. Wealth is achieved from 80% of your behavior and only 20% of your math skills. This principal also applies to your health as well. Ask any health adviser. You must first reprogram your mind so that your desires become reality.

Your brain has two working parts that let you achieve the goals that you set for yourself:

  • Your conscious mind – the part that is aware
  • Your subconscious mind – the part that is unaware.

Believe it or not, your subconscious mind is working hard all the time. This subconscious mind has all the untapped power you must unleash to make things happen. Your subconscious mind does not have a filter on it. It lets in everything it “sees”, “hears” and ”feels”. It is the basis of your character, your beliefs; because everything you are exposed to are implanted into your subconscious mind and they eventually become your core beliefs.

And miraculously, beliefs originating from your subconscious mind convert themselves into reality. So to make this simple, you grow into what you believe you are.

If you believe that you look sexy, then you will be those things. If you believe that you are fat and lazy, then that is what you will become. The power of your subconscious mind can either “break you” or “save you”, just depending on what you feed your thoughts. To slow down the aging process, you must first feed your subconscious mind.

Studies have proved this concept works. Napolean Hill dedicated almost half his life in proving this formula for wealth creation. In his book, “Think and Grow Rich”, the book has maintained a top best seller for the last 50 years! The same principles that Napolean Hill writes about can be applied to you in “Think and Grow Fit”. You have to harness the power of your subconscious mind. Then all things become possible.

You Change Your Reality by Reprogramming Your Subconscious Mind

Think about that for a minute. Let it sink in.

It sounds so simplistic, yet so profound. But it is the most powerful and effective process that you can do to change your life.

In order for you to harness this power, you must first set realistic goals to accomplish. For example, let’s say you want to become a millionaire but you are unemployed. You may laugh this goal off as unachievable. In reality, though, it is possible – through goal setting. Goal setting is a very precise and obtainable process. Goal setting allows you to translate your desires into measurable objectives.

If you want to have a great healthy body then you would first set a goal for your body composition target. If you set a goal of losing 15% of your body fat, that becomes a goal. As you have learned earlier, goals are achievable. Reprogramming your subconscious mind can get you there.

Just a three step process of making your thoughts becoming reality.

  1. Define your goals
  2. Read your goals at least twice a day
  3. Visualize your success

Let me explain what I am talking about.

Define Your Goals

When setting your goals you follow a precise formula that ensures your success. This is what I call a smart goal setting procedure.

What this smart goal setting procedure means is that your goal needs to be very specific, measurable, attainable, and realistic and you must put it into a timetable.

If even just one of these specific categories is missing you will not be able to attain as good of progress as you could have.

When setting your goals I find it very good practice to write them down first. I can then edit them in such as a way that will make since to me, as in priorities. These goals do have to be specific though. For example, you want to lose weight. Losing weight is not specific enough. Better to have an exact number in how much weight you intend on losing.

Is this amount of weight you intend to lose measurable? Chances are if you did self-examination you will know if this goal is achievable. If it is achievable, then it can be measured. For example, you want to lose thirty pounds. You weight 180 now and you would like to weight 150. If you never have weighed 150 in your life, then this goal is not achievable, and down right dangerous.

Being honest with your goal setting is also a necessity. In the example above, I would recommend first to set your goal to losing perhaps 20 pounds, or better yet, lose 15% of your body fat. This goal would be more achievable, measurable, attainable and realistic.

The reason I say to concentrate on losing body fat instead of just pounds is because your body is comprised of body fat and lean body mass (muscle). Body fat mass weighs more than lean body mass. Lean body mass makes your body look healthier, firmer, sexier and gives you more energy.

The body fat percentage should be the only way you ever measure your shape. If you just watch your body fat percentage, then your weight scale is not necessary. You will lose weight. This is the big secret that millions of people do not understand.

Theory states that your lean body mass is a good estimate of your lean muscle mass. Since your body’s organs don’t change, the only variable in this equation is your lean body mass.

When people go onto a diet plan, they lose on average about 65% fat and 35% lean muscle. When they stop the diet, they gain their weight back, and then some. This is called the Yo-Yo dieting. Maybe you know what I am talking about.

What’s wrong with this approach is that when you gain this weight back, it is not in the same proportions as your body was before. You actually gain back 80% fat and only 20% lean mass. So your body actually looks worse than before you started the diet. It makes you fatter because of your body fat mass ratio is more than your lean body mass.

This is the main focus in this report: Diets speed up muscle loss and muscle loss speeds up aging. So as you grow older, unless you are taking an active approach to preserve your lean muscle mass, it will slowly start to decline, and all will be lost.

My next post I will elaborate on the next two elements of this report. They are the saying out loud your goals and visualizing the success. I hope you have enjoyed this report and I also want you to be able to use it so you can become healthy and happy! Contact me if you agree, or even disagree.  I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Merrick
